If you’re concerned about or bothered by an aspect of your cat’s behavior, we can help. We can work with you and your cat to stop or change many behaviors if they are addressed early.  Cat behavior can often times be misunderstood. Some behaviors may even be normal behaviors for cats, and this can be quite confusing especially for new cat owners. A common phrase in the veterinary world- “CATS ARE NOT SMALL DOGS” is especially true when it comes to normal behaviors. Punishment and discipline will not work with cats but, may create aggression. Positive and negative reinforcement  techniques can have dramatic results when applied properly. Proper “environmental enrichment”will also be discussed in many behavioral situations. In some cases, medication can also help. Contact us for an appointment if you’d like a consultation.
